Understanding Your EAP Results
Make It Count
If you took your EAP test in the 11th grade, your EAP results will be included in the second page of the STAR report mailed to your home in August. If you marked the option to release your EAP test results, you can also check your results online at www.CalState.edu/eap/results.

The earlier you know your EAP status during your senior year of high school, the sooner you can start preparing and building the skills you'll need for CSU English and mathematic courses. So find out about your EAP status as soon as you can.

| Ready for CSU or Participating CCC College-Level English Courses | You are ready to enroll in for-credit courses at the CSU and participating California Community Colleges. Please note, you are still required to apply for college and meet admission requirements. |
| Ready for CSU or Participating CCC College-Level English Courses - Conditional | You must take the appropriate English course in your senior year to clear your conditional status. CSUDH will assume you are clearing your conditional status by completing an approved senior year experience. If you are not clearing your status, it is your responsibility to adhere to the CSU Placement Test requirement by the recommended deadline. Please note, in order to clear the conditional status, you must complete one of the approved senior year experiences during your high school senior year: Successfully complete, with a grade of "C" or better, a sequential year-long class:

| Not Yet Demonstrating Readiness for CSU or Participating CCC College-Level English Courses | Your English skills are not yet sufficiently strong to succeed in required college English courses. If you are accepted for admission to the CSU or a participating California Community College, you will be required to take a placement test. |

Registering for the CSU Placement Test
EPT and ELM test scores determine which math and English courses students are eligible to take at a CSUDH. The CSUDH recommends the following EPT/ELM test dates:

Exemption from CSU Placement Tests
If you're planning on attending CSUDH or any CSU campus, you may earn an exemption from taking the required CSU English and/or Entry Level Mathematics Placement Test by completing one of the following with the indicated results or scores, in addition to EAP results:
