Student Assistant Positions


PositionDescription
Student Building ManagerThe Student Building Manager is responsible for activities, services, and the general operation of the Student Union in the absence of full-time staff.
Information Desk AttendantThe Information Desk Assistant is responsible for providing a welcoming atmosphere, disseminating accurate information, and providing a wide variety of services to campus guests, Loker Student Union customers and the community.
Computer TechnicianThe Computer Technician is responsible for maintaining and upgrading technology within and for the LSU laptop program.
Game Room AttendantThe Games Room Attendant is responsible for supervising and monitoring the game room and its users during operating hours, assisting customers, maintaining and operating game room equipment and ensuring a safe and clean environment.
Office AssistantThe Office Assistant is responsible for answering incoming calls, taking/delivering messages, greeting customers, assisting with general office functions of the Student Union, and checking in/out of vendors.
Custodial Day PorterThe Custodial Day Porter is responsible for maintaining the immaculate appearance of the building. The Custodial Day Porter must exude excellent customer service.
Set-up Crew LeadThe Set-up Crew Lead is responsible for the overall coordinating of events scheduled at the Loker Student Union during weekend and evening hours.
Set-up Crew AssistantThe Set-up Crew Assistant is responsible for the set-up and restoration of all events held in the Loker Student Union.
Activities AssistantThe Activities Assistant is responsible for planning, execution, and evaluation of events, maintaining files and calendars, assisting with logistics of event through Toro Productions subcommittees and evaluating various aspects of programming.
Web DesignerThe Web Designer is responsible for developing and maintaining the Loker Student Union website including setting up additional pages and pop up windows as required. He/she designs, edits, and enhances images suitable for publishing over the internet. The Web Designer also creates PDFs for forms, documents, and/or large publications.
Graphic DesignerThe Graphic Designer is responsbile for designing and creating promotional materials, and all visual aspects of advertising and promotion for Toro Productions and the Loker Student Union. In coordination with the Program Coordinator, s/he will develop promotional ideas and complete publicity requests.

Work-Study Program
Loker Student Union, Inc. accepts "Work Study" Awards to provide employment for students with financial aid which include work study. This program enables students to maximize their financial aid awards while providing the opportunity to access all funding granted to them. Although work study is accepted it is not neccessary to have work study to be hired.

Conditions of Employment:
Applicants must be currently registered at CSUDH. Qualified candidates MUST be at least a part-time CSUDH enrolled student with a minimum GPA of 2.0 and remain in good standing with the University.
