STEP 4: SUBMIT ALL REQUIRED TRANSCRIPTS AND DOCUMENTS BY THE DEADLINE POSTED ABOVE
What Transcripts You Need to Send to CSU Dominguez Hills
Freshmen
Freshmen applicants (with no college/university level course work completed) need to have their official high school/secondary school transcripts and diplomas sent. If you took Advanced Placement Exams and scored a 3 or higher submit official test scores.
Transfer Applicants
Transfer applicants with fewer than 60 transferable units (90 quarter units) need to submit official high school AND official college/university records. Transfer applicants with a minimum of 60 transferable semester units generally need to have only official college/university transcripts.
Credits by Examination: College credit may be granted for successful completion of CLEP and Advanced Placement examinations. For more information on CLEP, refer to the University Catalog's College Level Examination Program section under Baccalaureate Degrees and Undergraduate Studies. Advanced Placement scores can be obtained from the College Board at www.collegeboard.org. Official test results must be submitted to the Office of Admissions in order for credit to be granted.
Graduate Applicants
Graduate applicants need to have official college/university transcripts and diplomas/certificates sent from each college/university attended.
All Veteran Applicants
Military Training: CSUDH grants undergraduate degree credit for successful completion on non-collegiate instruction (military or civilian) appropriate to the baccalaureate that has been recommended by the American Council on Education (ACE). To be considered for this credit, students must submit official military transcripts (such as AARTS or SMART) to the Office of Admissions for evaluation of all military training and coursework.
Military Service: A total of 6 semester units of lower division elective credit will be granted for one or more years of active military duty with an honorable discharge. Form DD 214 (copy of military separation) showing your discharge status should be submitted to the Office of Admissions at the time of application for admission. If you need to request a copy of your DD 214 you can do so at http://www.archives.gov/veterans/military-service-records/index.html.
How to Submit Your Transcripts
Official documents must be mailed in a sealed (unopened) envelope directly to CSUDH by the academic institution in question. Official documents should be mailed to the following address:
- CSU Dominguez Hills
Admissions Office
1000 East Victoria Street
Carson, CA 90747
Additional Information on Transcripts
It is very important that your academic records and examination scores, such as Advanced Placement or CLEP, be sent as early as possible. The campus review of your application cannot begin until all of your academic records are received.
STEP 5: Confirm your intent to enroll (Fall Only)
Confirm your Intent to Enroll at CSUDH. Log into My.CSUDH.EDU and go to the Application Status link, click on Accept/Decline, then select I Accept Admission or I Decline Admission. Note: Indicating your Intent to Enroll is required to attend New Student Orientation, apply for Housing, receive mandatory academic advisement, and register for classes.
STEP 6: Apply now for financial aid
To apply, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online. Do not wait until you are admitted to the University to apply for financial aid. The earlier you apply, the better chance you have that funds will be available.
- Apply between January and March, for priority processing.
- To ensure that we receive your FAFSA information, indicate our institutional code 001141 in the Federal School Code field and list the appropriate housing code.
- Contact the Financial Aid Office if you need any additional assistance.
STEP 7: Meet the immunization requirements
Students who attended California public high schools after July 1, 1999 have met this requirement. If you attended a private high school, attended in another state or outside the United States, download an immunization form from our Student Health Center, take it to your doctor or clinic and have all required immunizations. Return the completed form to the Office of Admissions and Records.
STEP 8: Apply for university housing if you plan to live on-campus
If you plan on living on campus, apply for housing as soon as possible. To apply for housing, you must:
- Be admitted to CSUDH as a degree-seeking student to apply for housing.
- Complete the online housing application.
- Contact the University Housing Office if you need additional assistance or would like a housing application sent to you.
- Check the University Housing website for the latest housing information and priority housing application dates.
