Studies prove it: Students who complete their college degrees experience lower unemployment rates and earn more over their professional lifetimes than individuals without their college degrees.
In fact, according to unemployment rates in 2009, high school graduates who did not complete any college had an average unemployment rate of 9.7%. While students who graduated college with a bachelor's degree had a 5.2% unemployment rate. And, according to the Bureau of Census and Bureau of Labor Statistics, college graduates with a bachelor's degree are expected to have a mean earning of $71,044 in 2010, compared to $40,175 mean earning for high school graduates with no college completed.
